SPORTS NEWS
This weekend starts our athletic competitions. We have 4 events on Saturday;
· Boys soccer at EMS, A team at 10:00 and B team at 11:15
· Girls soccer at ADL, A team at 10:00 and B team at 11:15
· Field Hockey at EMS, A team at 10:00 and B team at 11:15
· Cross country at ADL, ADL athletes should arrive between 9:50-10am for warm ups
Temperature checks:
Athletes will have their temperature checked by their coach as they arrive at their Saturday games. If an athlete has a temperature of 100.4 degrees fahrenheit or higher, they will be sent home. Athletes attending practice on their remote learning days will have their temperature checked by coaches upon arrival.
Travel to games:
Because our games are on Saturdays, and because riding buses are placing our students in a confined space, we ask that parents/guardians transport their child to and from all games. We realize this may not be possible for some of our students. If a parent cannot transport their child, the child may get a ride from another parent. ADL will need a signed note stating that the parent gives permission for another specific parent to transport their child to and from the game. ADL will need a signed note for each game. The note needs to be received by the Friday before the game.
The note must include all the following information:
- Date
- Travel destination
- Athlete’s name
- Name of the person driving the athlete
- Signature of the parent/guardian
Spectators:
Due to the state's 150 people maximum at a venue, we are asking that athletes bring no more than 2 spectators with them to watch the event. A reminder that all athletes and fans must wear masks while in attendance at events.
ADL would like to thank everyone for their flexibility and understanding as we make our way through this athletic season. With things changing so rapidly, we know that it hasn’t always been easy. Please understand these are today’s decisions. Things can change at any point based on new guidelines from the state or district level decisions. We thank you in advance for your understanding.
