Team Updates:
The Girls Tennis team won their 4th consecutive District I AA Team Championship on Wednesday afternoon by a score of 5-0 over Gwynedd Mercy Academy. The girls also won against Lansdale Catholic on Tuesday morning. They will move onto Hershey for the final three rounds of the state championships on Friday and Saturday October 26th and 27th. Nikole Lisovyy, Ally Cheiken, & Elizabeth Berzin have been leading the team in singles play, while the teams of Maeve McErlean/Nicole Stone & Lauren Oblon/Julianna Litz have been playing doubles.
Boys Soccer: The team concluded its regular season with a 10-7-1 record and have earned a home playoff game on Wednesday October 24th. The time and opponent will be determined on Sunday at the District seed meeting. Please stay up to date with the time and location of their playoff run on our athletics website. The boys closed out their season with 3 home wins vs. Collegium Charter, MaST Charter & Garnet Valley. Cullen Malone had a goal for the ages vs. MaST as he converted on an impossible bicycle kick from 15 yards out. Noah Dias scored the game winner in overtime against Garnet Valley, which propelled the boys to a home game.
Cross Country:
The boys and girls cross country team had a successful meet in the BAL Championships on Wednesday October 17th. Four of the boys earned top 20 finishes, Shane Cohen (5th), Ben Zonshayn (14th), Justin Sandler (15th), & Thomas Hellenbrand (20th). The boys under Coach Rapson are poised to try and take down Pope John Paul II in next weeks District I meet at Lehigh University. With only one team advancing to states, the boys look to win district gold and advance. As for the girls, Nicole Roche (13th) and Leena Saidi (16th) both ran extremely well at the girls league meet. Roche has been the front runner for the girls all season, and with a good run at Lehigh, could be in position to advance to states individually.
Football: The Lions earned a 30-0 victory over Valley Forge on October 13th. It was the teams first home win under Coach Beck. The team has been led by Seniors Coleman Peppleman, Forrest Keys, Jordan Zoubroulis & Nick Derderian. The underclassmen have been continuing to get better as the team looks to finish the season strong vs.Bristol.
Field Hockey: The FH team had a great win vs. Morrisville on Tuesday the 16th under the lights on senior night. Seniors Lindsay Graham and Alyssa Mostofizadeh-Fee closed out their wonderful playing careers as Lions. Fee held Morrisville to 0 goals on her senior night, earning her first career shutout in net. Graham has been a part of the LMFH family since 7th grade and has been a great teammate throughout the years according to Coach Mayer.

Lower Moreland HS Library
Thanks to the Foundation for Lower Moreland Schools the HS library has been completely remodeled! The students love how the new space provides opportunities for group and individual work, flexible seating, and a Makerspace. Students are engaging with technology and researching with ease in the new space.
We celebrated Banned Books Week at the end of September and took a look at books that have been banned or censored from years ago to present day. Art classes came into the Makerspace and learned how to 3D model, 3D print and make vinyl stickers. The students used online programs to develop their 3D models, then sent the file to the machines to be printed. Also, the library courtyard was fixed up in the spring by the Environmental Club. It is thriving now, with the flowers and shrubs bringing numerous birds, bees, and butterflies to our windows.
