It has been a wonderful first two weeks of school here at the beautiful Borton Magnet Elementary School. Our students have enjoyed being back at school and our teachers have sure enjoyed working with them all. As we close out the month of August, we have some very important and exciting events coming up. The first event being our Open House on Tuesday, August 22nd at 5:00pm. Please join us to learn more about Borton, our curriculum, and our Magnet themes. There are also important updates and information below in this newsletter. No Parking
If you plan on visiting us for a Community Meeting, especially the first day of school, please do not park in the parking lots of any business located close to Borton. Specifically, please do not park in a lot of any business across Tyndall Ave. We want to respect our local businesses and community.
Borton Critters and Friends
It is the time of year that we have a lot of our Borton critters, wildlife, insects, and friends coming out to play on our campus. We seem to be having a lot of Colorado River Toads coming out with the rain. Please remind your child to please leave these animals alone and to not disturb their habitats. We won’t to be protective of our environment, but also of our students. Some of these critters could cause harm and/or be poisonous. At Borton, want to make sure that everyone is safe.
Volunteers / Visitors
Parents and community members that want to volunteer are welcomed back on campus. Speak with our office manager (Margaret Seamans) to learn how you can volunteer.
