Preparing for Digital Learning Days
Although our community has been presented with a challenge, I am so proud of the outpouring of support and commitment in doing our best to help our students stay engaged in learning and supporting our families. Thank you for your continued encouragement, patience, and support during this time. I even got a few "It's Friday" song videos from parents of the kiddos which made me smile big. Thank you!
Our amazing teachers have been working very hard to prepare engaging learning opportunities for our students next week. Our students are familiar with the digital learning platform and using Eclass. Below I have listed some details and resources to support. Please read through them, and contact me or your child's teacher if any guidance is needed. Most of all I hope our students, families, teachers, and staff have a safe and wonderful week. There's truly no place like Suwanee!
Your Proud Principal,
Mrs. Mary B. Taylor
Here are details to help you prepare for Digital Learning Days (3/16-3/20):
- Assignments will be posted on teacher eCLASS pages by 9:00 AM each day
- Teachers are sending class emails with directions and support by 8:45AM
- Very Important - Our eCLASS provider D2L is used by K12 and higher education institutions across the country and throughout the world. We anticipate that we could experience some slowness in our tool as usage everywhere increases.
- Teachers will be available throughout the day. All teachers will check their email/eCLASS pages at 10:00, 12:00, and 2:00
- Teachers can also provide "Non-Digital" learning activities as well. So, you will most likely see a combination especially in K-2.
- Students may submit work in several ways. Students should follow the directions given by the teacher on the Eclass page.
- Students will have about three hours of work for the full day's activity grades 3-5, and no more than two hours for K-2, including the Specials rotation for the day (STEM, Music, PE, Art, etc).
