Athletic Director Notes:
Fall activities are moving along very quickly!
*The cross country meet on Sep. 14 at Miller Grove will be our 5th meet of the season.
*High School volleyball is 3 games into the first round of district play.
*Jr. High volleyball begins week 4 of their season on Sep. 18th.
*Off-season programs are working hard in preparation for basketball & soccer seasons.
Things are moving fast, and I feel good about the work that's taking place and the culture surrounding our program. Participation numbers are good in all facets so far and we are retaining those numbers as the midway point of the fall approaches.
Go Lady Warriors & Lady Indians!

VOLLEYBALL REPORT
Our volleyball program currently has 7 teams: Varsity, JV1, JV2, 7th A, 7th B, 8th A, and 8th B. It's been a very busy start to the season with 11 games, 4 tournaments and 2 scrimmages already completed at the high school level and 2 games + 1 bye week at the Jr. High level.
Our varsity girls have steadily developed some continuity over the past few weeks as they continue to blend upper classmen with a big freshman group. If you've seen them play recently, you know that they are making progress and competing with more consistency. They put together 3 strong performances in a row with victories over Commerce, Tom Bean, and a very close loss in 5 sets in the district opener at Blue Ridge.
In 2 home games thus far for our Jr. High teams, we have seen a lot of girls competing for spots and learning the system. The season opener against Bells was capped off with a big comeback victory for our 8th A team. I'm able to attend morning practices on a regular basis and I can tell you that our coaching staff is coming early and working hard with our girls every day. It's a very satisfying process to watch from day to day and week to week, as they better understand the fundamentals and how to compete.
