History of Eguisheim

Eguishem capital is Alsatian. The population is about 1572. One of the most beautiful villages and has been awarded the National Grand Price winner for flowers. The village is made up of three circles.

Where is Eguisheim?

Eguisheim is found near Colmar in Alsace, in the Haut-Rhin department of north-east France. Eguisheim is almost a part of Colmar, but its a separate town, and has its own identity.

  1. All of small delights that you will across as tou explore the town
  2. The 8th century Eguisheim castle
  3. A little church next to chateau that has colorful interior.

Highlights on Wine and Castles

  • You should try the wine when you visit Eguisheim. The wine is very high regarded and most important in Alsace.
  • Theres three castles that you can see the vestiges from the 10th-12th centuries: Le Wahlenbourg, Le Dagsbourg, and Le Weckmund.

Best hotel to stay at

Theres a beautiful hotel in the middle of Eguisheim, its called Hostellerie du Chateau. Friendly and helpful staff. Everything, shops, good restaurants and wine boutiques are in walking distance. Great breakfast, good rooms and excellent service. Decorated with charm, speak french and English, rooms are cozy, and really clean.

    Au Vieux Porche is the most beautiful places all lite up at night. The restaurant is kinda big andwhen you walk in you will be very amazed. Its helpful when you need something. You can eat outside and have private dinning rooms.
