Springville Public Library Loves Local Artist Ann Bailey!
Ann has lived in The Gardens neighborhood in Springville for almost 14 years and attends Springville First United Methodist Church. She has three children, nine grandchildren and three great-grands. Ann is happily married to the man she married at the age of 17. They are both retired and active.
Ann has always liked to draw "so I always thought I had a little talent in that respect. As an adult, I often thought about trying to paint and when I retired from my real job in 2004, I decided to take lessons in watercolors. After about 2 years, I moved to acrylics.” Ann is quick to give credit to her art instructors: “I’ve had several instructors but have been painting with Merle Dollar Burttram for quite a few years. She mostly gives me inspiration and confidence in myself, as well as instruction. I don’t see myself as a real artist, I just enjoy the painting and sharing them with family and friends.” Springville Public Library is proud to showcase the Ann’s beautiful art throughout May.
