CANNED FOOD DRIVE
The students of East Lynne are participating in an annual food drive created by their Student Council in order to benefit local families in need during the holiday season. Donations may be canned food or non-perishable food items only and may be sent to your student’s classroom starting November 2nd. Food items will be collected in your child’s classroom/homeroom until the morning of November 19th. Student Council teacher sponsor, Kaycie Mehrhoff, and STUCO member volunteers will be counting the donations. After they’ve been counted, the donations will go to the food pantry of Bethel Assembly of God Church in Garden City. Pastor George said they were able to serve many families over the years thanks to our donation efforts! They would be very thankful to receive any donations this year. This food pantry provides many families in need that live in and around East Lynne. Help your neighbor with their Thanksgiving dinner! Please donate what you can.
Who: All East Lynne Students! Each grade (PreK-8th) will be competing to collect the most donations.
What: Canned or non-perishable food items ONLY, please.
Where: All donations will be collected in donation boxes in their classroom/homeroom. The class with the MOST donations will earn an ice cream treat!
When: November 2nd-19th.

THANK YOU ELS LEARNING COMMUNITY
For the past three years we have participated in SchoolStore.com where ELS families and friends can make purchases to a select group of stores. These purchases benefit our school and can allow our teachers to receive gift cards to purchase things for their classroom.
So far this year we have already earned almost $500 for our school and up teachers have received almost $4000 in gift cards to spend at SchoolStore.com. We are so grateful for your generosity.
Annual Harvest Festival
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM
7:00 PM. Stay tuned for more details. It will be a great way to get in the Christmas Spirit!
Building Update
We continue to use our all of our available spaces for art and other expo classes. Our cafeteria serves food the first half of the day and then houses our middle school art and STEM classes the second half of the day. Our library also stays busy with middle school elective and expo classes and elementary library classes. We are feeling the need for this new space and it adds to the excitement.
