The Confederacy Food Shortage
The Confederacy faced food shortage problems. One reason for this was a lot of the manpower was gone because they joined the army. They lost a lot of the slaves that worked in the fields. The union started to grow their own food.
The south could not even get the simplest of foods like rice.
A lot of the man power was gone because they joined the army.
Meat became a once-a-week luxury at best

This shortage grew so desecrate that hundreds of women and children stormed bakeries and tried to get bread.
