GRADES 9-11th HIGH SCHOOL GRADING UPDATES: PLEASE READ!
All 9th-11th graders have been mailed a form entitled "End of Year 2019-2020 Grading Options Form." We put this letter in the mail 5/12. This form explains the two grading options that students have regarding their high school courses. This form needs to be completed with the student's grading option for each course, along with a student and parent signature.
Please mail this form back to RECHS by May 20, 2020.
In an attempt to expedite this process, I am sending each student a Google form entitled "RECHS Preliminary Grading Options Form." I am asking that each student complete this form by May 18th. By completing this form, we can make necessary changes within the PowerSchool grade book sooner. Then we will verify the students' request in the preliminary Google form against their official form that is mailed back to RECHS. Again, this is all an attempt to facilitate this process at a faster rate with the last day of school quickly approaching.
With the need to get this information, students need to be aware that teachers will need to finalize grades by Monday, May 18th. Please check your emails for information from your teachers concerning due dates. Teachers need time to grade assignments prior to finalizing the grades.
Please see the chart below to help you make decisions concerning the grade options!

Please park on the car rider side of the school. Students will use the exterior gym door. We will limit the number of students allowed in the gym.
Graduation
As you have heard from Randolph County School System, all high schools will have graduation on July 25th. Randolph Early College will hold commencement ceremonies at 10:00 am at Journey Church in Asheboro. We will have a graduation practice on July 24th at 9:00 am, again at Journey. A graduation event timeline will be released soon. There are still many unknowns with restrictions, so we will release details as we receive them.
Office Hours
To Parents of Juniors
Effective in the 2020-2021 school year, two doses of meningococcal conjugate vaccine are
required for North Carolina students. One dose is required for individuals entering
the seventh grade or by 12 years of age. The second booster dose is required for
individuals entering the 12th grade or by 17 years of age, whichever comes first.
The requirement for the second dose is new. This information is being shared with
you now so you can make plans to have your student vaccinated prior to the start
of the 2020-2021 school year. If you have questions regarding this new
requirement, please feel free to call our school nurse, Monica Hurley, at 336-625-1137.
