PTA Board Positions Available
Parent involvement is extremely important to our success at Beck Elementary. We have traditionally had strong PTA support and membership to support our students and teachers at Beck. Why is the PTA so important?
- Leverage Volunteer Power! They help recruit dedicated volunteers to help with school programs and events.
- Increase children's well-being by offering programs in safety, health and general well-being.
- Help generate more dollars for our students to help support school programs and increase resources for teachers and students!
Beck's PTA do so much more, and we need your help. Without you, and those willing to take on leadership roles, we will not have a PTA. We have the following positions available for the 2017-2018 school year.
President
VP Membership
VP Programs
VP Family Engagement
Treasurer
Secretary
Parlimentarian

AlphaBest After School Provider
AlphaBest dates back to 2005, and has grown over the years to now serve more than 20,000 students at more than 275 schools across a dozen states (including eight districts in Texas alone aside from Northwest ISD). They focus soely on after school enrichment, putting all their resources toward making the after school experience meaningful, fun, and engaging for students.
In Northwest ISD, they'll operate at a 1:15 staff-to-student ratio. They've developed customized programming called InZone – a model program that responds to the multiple intelligences of students and provides challenging and fun activities. Designed to complement the school day, AlphaBEST lets each child explore his or her individual talents through a unique modular curriculum and a hands-on learning approach that encourages them to expand their personal horizons and develop their minds. They are also intentional about including both homework completion and help time each afternoon as well as unstructured recreation time.
AlphaBEST will host two community meet and greets at the NISD Board Room as follows:
May 2, 2017 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm
May 9, 2017 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm
Additionally, we will host two job fair opportunities at the Administration building as follows:
May 9, 2017 9:30 am to 11:00 am and 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm
