Event Description
The 1900 hurricane of Galveston was a huge natural disaster. More of 6,000 men,women,and children died during the hurricane. All of the coast of Galveston was wiped out the government had to bring Galveston just to get the coast back.The hurricane was one of the worst things to happen to Galveston island.
Ecological impact
Many of houses were destroyed in the hurricane. After the hurricane there were many shards of glass,wood and people.Most of the plant life was wiped out with the hurricane.The structures that filled Galveston with cheer were now gone.
Restoration Efforts
After Galveston was destroyed by the hurricane the entire town was destroyed, they started rebuilding everything. After they rebuilt the town they built a huge wall, it is seventeen feet tall and a couple of miles long they rebuilt the city at a slant so in case it ever flooded again all the water would drain back out into the sea.
