Park Terrace Elementary
March 30, 2022 Newsletter
Greetings Park Terrace Elementary!
I hope everyone is having a great start to the week! These spring months at school are a time of such tremendous growth for students as they grow into their next levels of development and learning. On top of their work in the classroom right now, students began working on learning about countries from around the world as part of their project-based learning. It is great to see students learning about nations and people from around the world!
In addition to a time of growth and learning, spring is also a time for students to demonstrate their learning. In the coming months, students will be taking a variety of assessments. This week and next we begin our MAP testing and then later in April our 3rd and 4th grade students will be taking the MCAs! On these days – and every day - it is incredibly important for students to come to school well rested and ready to do their best!
Report cards for the end of trimester 2 are posted in Campus Parent Portal. If you have questions or need help, please reach out to your child’s teacher(s) or our office.
Finally, this Friday is April 1 (and April Fool’s!) and I am so looking forward to the coming months of warmer weather and wonderful learning opportunities for our students. Let’s keep up the good work, Panthers!
Sincerely,
Mona Perkins
Principal
