GETTING READY FOR THE 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR
- Legacy’s Early Childhood Open House will be held on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019. This evening is designed for parents and for their children. Please share this information with friends and families. Legacy parents are our biggest promoters!
- Preschool/Kindergarten pre-registration begins after Christmas break on Monday, Jan.7, 2019. If you are planning to send your student to Prek, Young Five's, or English or Spanish Kindergarten at Legacy next fall, please use this opportunity to pre-register them. Let your friends and neighbors know about this important date, especially those whose oldest child would be eligible. These families are not always aware that pre-registration takes place this early! More information will follow in next week’s newsletter. Help us promote Legacy Christian!
- For our Early Childhood Open House on Thursday, Jan. 10, we would love it if we could get several of our LCS families to help provide the goodies that will be served to the families that come to tour Legacy Christian! Our theme for this year Open house is again "Shine Like Stars". You are welcome to make something "star" related, but it certainly doesn't have to be. Please indicate in the comment box what you plan to bring. Thank you in advance for supporting LCS in this way! Sign up here - https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0D44A8AA2BA13-early3

Legacy Christian has a running club for 3rd-5th graders beginning in early March and leading up the the Calvin Spring Classic 5K at the end of April. We are looking for people willing to commit to co-leading/volunteering to help on a consistent basis this year to ensure the kids safety while they are running in the community as well as make it doable for the leaders. As we all know, spring brings many after school commitments. Traditionally running club has been Monday/Thursday, 3:15-4:15 pm; however, a Tuesday/Thursday schedule is being considered, pending helper's needs and availability. Also, the activities and runs are pre-planned! We truly need your help for supervision, encouragement, and to keep the kids on task! HELP NEEDED
TERRACYCLE
Keep sending in your TerraCycle items! TerraCycle is once again offering Holiday Bonus Bucks through the end of the year. Almost every single shipment we send in earns Holiday Bonus Bucks. We are working on maximizing all our shipments to earn as many bonuses as possible. These are cash bonuses on top of the money they pay us for our trash. Remember to TerraCycle your cereal and cracker bags, brownie and cake mix bags and #6 solo cups as you bake for the holidays and have parties. Help us earn even more money for school by collecting and sending your TC items to school!
At this time, the TC team is in need of some very LARGE (up to dishwasher sized boxes) and some very SMALL (like the little Amazon boxes that just fit inside your mailbox) shipping boxes. If you have any to contribute please leave them on top of the TC center or near the rollout. Please note that we are currently well stocked with medium sized boxes and don't need anymore of that size. Thank you!
TRASH FOR CASH

- Legacy TRIP will be open for Cash & Carry from 7:45-10:00 am, on the following dates in December: Dec. 13 & 20. The only way to guarantee you get everything you need is to order in advance. This is especially true if you need a large amount.
We will carry the following items in December:
