Saddle Up: Having Courage to Share our Gifts
Growing up on an acreage meant learning some life lessons that continue to shape my experiences today. My dad shared a strong message when learning to ride that, “no matter how scared or nervous you are, you saddle up and ride”. Ride-they did-on Thursday at our 2019 St. John XXIII Got Talent Show, even down some “Old Town Roads”.
It takes a tremendous amount of courage to stand in front of people and share a part of your gifts and talents with others. We had singers, dancers, musicians, acro performers, cup stackers, and even-a Rubix Cube mini master! It was a wonderful afternoon; parents beamed with pride, fellow students cheered on their friends, and staff celebrated with joy!
Whether it is in “big” Talent Show moments or quiet and humble moments where we use our gifts to serve, we honour the unique and beautiful masterpieces that God has created in each one of us.
Many thanks to Mrs. Comartin and the School Spirit Leadership Squad for the awesome St. John XXIII Got Talent Show this year!
