ALICE Drill
On Monday, we conducted a practice ALICE drill, including a walk to one of our evacuation areas. Members from the Rocky Hill Police Department was present to supervise and assess the drills. The students and staff correctly followed all procedures with a high level of efficiency and effectiveness. I was proud of all of our teachers and students.
We will continue to practice emergency evacuations and lockdowns at various points throughout the year. The safety of everyone in our building remains our top priority.
Scoops and Sprinkles- Battle of the Schools!
You may or may not know that Stevens School is the reigning champions of the last battle of the schools competition. We are hoping to maintain our title! Next week visit Scoops and Sprinkles between 4 p.m.- 9 p.m. to help Stevens School. The competition runs between Monday, Oct. 25 and Saturday, October 30th.Ten percent of purchases come back to the school for our students. I will plan to be there at 4:15 p.m. on Monday to kick off the event and hope to see you there! I love ice cream so there is a good chance you may see me there another day or two next week!
Charleen's Portrait Studio
Emails have been sent out to our families from Charleen's Portrait Studio. Your child's classroom teacher should have notified you which day they will be photographed. The two dates next week for picture sessions are Tuesday, October 26 and Wednesday, October 27. The link that was sent to your email is below as well.

Book Fair
The Fall Book Fair will be held the week of October 25-29. Information was sent home last week with information about how to purchase books that week. Students will shop the fair during their book exchange time. We are still under a no visitor policy so school staff will be there to assist your child.
Spirit Wear Sale
The deadline to order Stevens School Spirit Wear is Friday, October 29th. Order forms were sent home with students. The link to order online is:
