Plans After Graduation: Next year, Jackie plans to study and play basketball at St. Lawrence University.

WINTER SPORTS BEGIN

Reading Memorial High School and the Middlesex League have started interscholastic events. Please follow state, local and MIAA guidelines that state everyone should wear an approved mask/face covering at all events. In addition, all school rules apply. Please cheer for the Rockets and not against our opponent. Some venues may have limited capacity so please check before arriving. Be positive and not critical of the opposition or the officials. We are looking forward to a positive winter athletic season.

Student Council wants you to get ready to plan for the holidays with the following theme days:


Monday, Dec. 20: Dress up for your favorite holiday

Tuesday, Dec. 21: Ugly sweater day

Weds., Dec. 22: Anything but your backpack day

Thurs., Dec. 23: PJ day

DOOR DECORATING CONTEST

The Joy Committee will hold a door decorating competition themed “Winter Wonderland” during flex on the last day before the holiday break. Please check at home to see if you can donate unwanted wrapping paper, glue sticks, tape, bows and construction paper. Please bring supplies to your flex teacher or to the main office. After the new year, we’ll send instructions on how to vote and the winning flex block will receive a personalized prize basket.

CAROLING

Add a festive tone to your home, event or business while supporting RMHS's Choral Department! Christmas Carols sung by the Select Choir of RMHS.

Available at 6PM, 6:30, 7:00, 7:30, 8:00 & 8:30

Due to Covid-19, all performances will be outside of your home. Please consider whether you have enough space in your front yard, driveway, or cul-de-sac for 10-12 carolers.

POWIR CLUB COLLECTION FOR MISSION OF DEEDS


Now though Dec 17, the RMHS POWIR Club is collecting new blankets in any size for Mission of Deeds, which gives beds, furniture, and household items, free of charge, to people in need. Collection boxes are near the RMHS main entrance

GIRL RISING FUNDRAISER

The Girl Rising Club will be holding their annual holiday drive for The Fenix House which is a shelter for women and children. The students in the club plan to make holiday gift bags for the women. Till Dec. 17th we will be collecting women's TOILETRIES, hats, gloves, socks, lotions, throw blankets, and chap stick which can be placed in donation boxes. They will also be collecting gift cards to CVS, Target, and Walgreens which can be sent to Megan Howie in Room 341. Boxes will be placed in front of the main office and various classrooms.

DECA FUNDRAISER

DECA is a career technical student organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
