What is flexiblity ?
Flexibility is the range of motion in a joint or group of joints, or, the ability to move joints effectively. Flexibility is related to muscle strength.

How does it improve one improve their flexibilty ?
There are several ways to improve your flexibility. Stretching are a good way to improve flexilibity and holding the position for 16-60 seconds this prevents injuries and strain.
Personal connection
The way flexibility connects to my life is because I stretch everyday and as the days go on my body begins to become much more bendable and there wouldn't be any pain or straining on my muscles. When I first began stretching it was kind of hard but it became much easier.
