**Fall Formal Frequent Problems-Trouble Shooting
Purchaser is putting the āSā on the Student ID.
Purchaser is not using ALL CAPS on the verification section.
Purchaser is using a cell phone. Some phones do not communicate well with payk12. Typical with Android phones but has happened with iPhone.
There is an apostrophe or hyphen in their name. Try it with or without the hyphen or apostrophe.
If the ID is only 5 digits, they may need to add a zero in front of the first number. 12345 vs 012345
This has happened a few times, it is an issue on PAYk12ās end.
Purchaser is using their middle name.
Purchaser is using the name the student goes by, not their name in skyward. (Allie vs Allison)
School Health Advisory Council (SHAC): The Lake Travis School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) is a group appointed by the board of trustees to serve at the district level. Members of the SHAC come from different areas of the community and from within the school district. The majority of members must be parents who are not employed by the district. SHACs assist the district in ensuring that local community values are reflected in health education instruction. Additionally, SHACs play an important role in strengthening the connection between health and learning. They can help parents and community stakeholders reinforce the knowledge and skills children need to stay healthy for a lifetime. The SHAC liaison presents the committees' recommendations annually to the school board in the areas of nutrition, health education, human sexuality education, mental health, drug abuse prevention, and physical fitness and activity.
The SHAC meets 4-6 times throughout the year at the EDC from 1:00-2:30pm on the fourth Thursday of the month. If you are interested in serving on the SHAC, please submit an application here to be considered for membership. If you have additional questions, please contact Jennifer Lyon, Director of Health and SEL, at lyonj@ltisdschools.org.

Jostens is our new source for cap & gown, graduation announcements, yearbooks, class rings, and spirit wear. Jeff, the "Cap and Gown Guy," was on campus on October 12th to share information with seniors, and he will be back on campus this Wednesday, October 19th, during lunches to answer any questions students have and take orders. Seniors may also place orders online. Links to order are on the Senior Event page. If a senior did not attend school on October 12th, they can pick up a Jostens packet from Mrs. Hrapchak in G207.
Previously, families were able to order just the cap and tassel if they already owned a gown for graduation. This is not an option on the website, but families can fill out the contact form (https://www.jostens.com/customer-service/contact-us-form) to create an order over the phone. This option can also be taken care of when Jeff is on campus on October 19th.
One final CADY RoadShow is available for any senior that wishes to schedule a $29 session at LTHS. Please see the Senior Events page for more information about this type of session. This last RoadShow is scheduled for Friday, December 2, 2022. Please sign up on the CADY website, www.cady.com. For any senior that wants to take the yearbook-only photos, that schedule will be shared in January. Mrs. Hrapchak will contact any seniors who haven't taken a picture for the yearbook with CADY photographers.
Any senior that wants to join in on the Senior Walk is welcome to participate! PLEASE plan to get your student game ticket on Sun 10/30 & family tickets on Monday 10/31! (Parents & students who do not have tickets to the game may have to wait until after the game to enter the stadium.)
As soon as the clock counts down to the end of the game, each school will play their school song. During that time, the seniors should make their way to the field at the gate between Sections B and C (near the student section). When the school songs have concluded, the seniors will take the field at the far end (near the scoreboard) and line up in the end zone. The press box staff will play the designated song while the seniors stroll across the field to the opposite end zone. We will not dim the lights this year, so friends & families may take pictures from the stands.
Student Celebrations
Congratulations also to the Women's JV Cross Country team who came in 2nd place, with Leila Cohn as the district champion. The Freshmen Men finished in 2nd place, with Pedro Alvarez-Gutierrez earning the silver medal!

2022-2023 Final Exam Exemption Procedures
Juniors and Seniors are eligible to earn TWO final exam exemptions by adhering to the requirements listed on this document. These exemptions apply to the spring semester only. All students must take all midterm exams in December. Additionally, freshmen and sophomores are not eligible exam exemptions.
How to earn an Exemption:
Grades: Must have a year-long average of an 85% or above for the specific class you are wanting to exempt. Grades will be calculated by averaging RC1, RC2, RC3, and the RC4 average as of May 5th at 4:15pm.
Attendance: Students can have no more than 5 tardies in the specific class they want to exempt beginning on October 13, 2022.
Honor Code: No Tier 2 or Tier 3 honor code violations. Students with a Tier 2 violation cannot exempt the class for which the violation occurred. Students with a Tier 3 violation cannot exempt any classes. This includes additional AP exam exemptions.
AP Classes: Students enrolled in an AP class may earn an additional exemption if they meet all of the exemption requirements listed above and take the AP exam. This applies to sophomores as well.
Exemption Defined: Exempt from the Exam does not mean exempt from attending school.
Failure to attend school during the scheduled exam time will result in the student forfeiting his/her exemption and result in a zero for the exam grade if the student does not complete the makeup exam on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.
More information will be shared in the Spring, including the exemption form that will require signatures from teachers, parents, and the student.
