Happy Fall,

I hope this finds you adjusting to the school routines and enjoying these beautiful fall days.

Please help remind your child to come to school dressed for the weather daily. You might consider writing your child's name on outer layers so if they are lost, the staff can find the owner. Our lost & found is already quite large; so double check for missing items.

I thank you for your continued help with all of these expectations:

  • Drop Off & Pick Up through the drive up lane only (no need to park or get out of your vehicle) ~ Pull forward as far as possible.
  • Keep those sick kids home.
  • Call our office with any confirmed positive COVID results. This allows us to begin our contact tracing process and verify the results. Families will be notified if we believe your child has been exposed to a positive student or staff member at school. You can check our confirmed cases on the district website weekly here under 'announcements'.
  • Clean Face Coverings are required by everyone in the building
  • Call in change of going home plans by 2:30 daily so we have time to get a message to your child(ren) and teacher.

We are all learning and adjusting to this new school year with our 410 students back in session. It was truly a great first month of school. Please reach out to the school at (208) 634-2219 or email me at with any questions you have.

Work Room Volunteers

If you are looking to volunteer, we have created a schedule for our staff work room to help take on copies, laminating, cutting, and other staff requests. Just sign in with your photo ID when you come to volunteer. Here is the schedule through December.

Sign Up to help in our staff work room.

School Safety Drills

We take school safety seriously. We have been busy practicing all of our drills to help teach our students and staff about best practices/procedures in the event we ever need it. We will continue to practice four types of drills on a regular basis.

  1. Evacuations {Fire Drills}
  2. Reverse Evacuations
  3. Hall Checks
  4. Lockdowns

In the event any of these are NOT a drill and an emergency, we will utilize our Powerschool Alert System to notify you via text/email/phone call.

Microsoft Teams

All K-5 BRMES students have a Microsoft account provided by the school district. If we end up going to an all-online schedule; all students will need to know how to login to his/her Microsoft account from home to access Microsoft Teams and connect with his/her teacher. We are continuing to teach/prepare ourselves and the students, just in case. There is also a free Teams App you can try as well. Ask your child(ren) or the classroom teachers if they have been taught how to use Teams yet.

Powerschool Help?

Powerschool is an excellent tool for parents to keep track of their child's daily schedule, attendance, and grades. Download the Powerschool app to get started with your mobile device. Our district code is: XLLD.

If you had it installed from last year; try to log out and re-login to get connected to the 2021-22 information. Call us if you are needing further assistance @ 634-2219.

Mask Mandate

  • Physician's Exemption: We must have a physicians signature on file if your child has a condition that exempts them from mask wearing. All other students, staff and visitors/volunteers, when indoors, are mandated to wear a mask.

Current BRMES Job Openings:

We love hiring BRMES parents. If any of these interest you, look to apply online or call our office for more information!
