1 - Set up shop in your driveway and/or garage with everything priced
2 - Place a balloon on your mailbox
3 - Don't block the streets with your vehicles (you can park at the Pool if you'd like)
4 - Have fun!

Ads will be placed in The Covington News and the Newton Citizen during the week leading up to the event. Signs will be placed at all 3 entrances beginning on the Sunday before the event.

Be sure to let all of your family and friends know about it to increase the foot traffic to help insure a great day of selling for all participating residents.
GOLF CART REFRESHER FROM THE COVINGTON PD
GOLF CART RULES & REGULATIONS:
With so many CP residents driving golf carts around the City, it's time for a refresher course on golf cart rules and regulations within the city limits of Covington:

Golf carts operated on the streets of Covington must be registered with the Covington
Police Department; applications can be obtained from the Covington Police Department website
.
Golf carts are permitted on and around the city square
.
All traffic laws apply, including DUI and reckless driving
.
All drivers are required to possess a driver’s license or instructional permit; no exceptions!
.
Golf carts are prohibited on the following streets (however, you can cross the below-listed streets at intersections provided you stay on an approved street):

Consider this notice as a warning as anyone operating a golf cart on an unauthorized route is subject to ticketing.

In addition to the above items, a good healthy dose of common sense always helps too when operating a golf cart on city streets. And as a reminder, ALL streets in Covington Place are City Streets so all of our streets are covered by the above rules and regulations.

POOL CLOSING DATE SET:
Please make sure that everyone in your family that uses the pool is aware of this closing date. All Pool Key Cards will be disabled for the season after this time.

Key Cards will continue to work for the Tennis Courts even though the pool will be closing.

Covington Place has two Henderson Family connections that you may not be aware of.
Clarice Henderson Dozier and Maria Henderson Hargrove are both part of the family that founded and has run this well-loved restaurant all of these years.

Be sure to stop by and enjoy the home-style food served by family at Henderson's before it's too late! No closing date has been set yet that we've heard.

It's also a good idea to have the phone number for COLLINS POOL SERVICE handy just in case there is a need to reach them - 770-389-9999.

Make sure everyone in your family knows that the daily POOL HOURS are 8:00am until 10:00pm. The pool is closed at all other hours and climbing the fence to enter the pool area constitutes trespassing which is strictly enforced.
OVERNIGHT VISITORS & CAMPERS/RVs PARKED IN THE STREET or AT POOL PARKING LOT - VISITOR PARKING PASS REQUIRED - NO EXCEPTIONS
Leaving unmarked cars parked in the Pool Parking Lot during the day or overnight is not allowed. If vehicles do not have a Green Vehicle Sticker on them then they MUST have a Visitor Parking Pass on them to keep from being towed.

Mailbox Repair/Replacement - The HOA Board is working with Sentry to obtain a new approved mailbox installation/repair/replacement company for Covington Place. In the meantime, please contact Ed Winnicki on the HOA Board.
Clubhouse Rental - Kaye Plitt, the clubhouse is available to all residents to rent for private parties; no corporate events or non-resident parties allowed; $75 fee during Pool Season, $50 fee during remainder of year; Rules & Regulations available from Kaye; some restrictions on dates/times of availability; 404-606-8062, kayep1030@gmail.com
Green Vehicle Stickers - Send email to tp81854@yahoo.com and provide street address and number of vehicles; place them on the rear window of each vehicle; they are available for golf carts too and should be placed on the windshield

Collins Pool Services - 770-389-9999 - to report any problems with the pool during Pool Season (ex. chemicals, cleanliness, fecal matter, etc.)
Tennis Courts are accessed via the same Pool Card that opens the pool gate. The tennis courts are available for residents and their guests only. Guests must be accompanied by a resident at all times. Leagues or Teams are not allowed. Rules of etiquette were included in the HANDBOOK so please refer to them if you have any questions.

Street Light Outage - City of Covington, 770-385-2000, use Option '0' and speak to a Customer Service Agent to report the outage and have a repair ticket created.

Our HOA offers residents who own a business the opportunity to reach over 340+ resident email addresses via our Newsletter and our Facebook Page.

For Residents who own a business:
- No charge to run an Ad
- A print-ready Ad in JPEG format is required
- We'll run it several times if requested

For Non-Residents to place an Ad:
- $25 to run 4 times
- A print-ready Ad in JPEG format is required

All Ad JPEGS must be emailed prior to any Saturday to tp81854@yahoo.com in order to be placed in the next issue of the Newsletter. Please make sure that your Ad is clear and legible before sending your JPEG.

Paid for Ads will be posted to our FB Page by someone on our Communications Team only. If an Ad appears on our FB Page that doesn't belong to a resident and hasn't been pre-paid for, it will be deleted.

If you do not have a Green Vehicle Sticker on each of your vehicles, please REPLY to this email providing your Name, Street Address, and the Number of Vehicles you have and they will be delivered to your mailbox. Or email to tp81854@yahoo.com.
If you would like a sticker for your golf cart too, please make that request as this is a great idea since many residents drive their golf carts to the pool.
