Each week, please see below for the skills our class will be studying. Anything that you can do to support them at home is appreciated! You may notice that we spend more than one week on particular skills as they are meant to take longer than one week to cover in class.

5/16 S is for Sundaes
We’ll make ice cream sundaes today
5/17 T is for Toy Day
Bring a toy from home
5/18 U is for Unbelievable End of Year Party
Our party is today from 1:00-3:00pm
5/19 V is for Vacation Outfit
Wear sunglasses, flip flops, etc
5/20 W is for Watermelon
We’ll eat watermelon outside
Please clean out bookbags and folders- some of the kids have A LOT of stuff in there! =)
Dates to Know!
- Our end of year party will be Wednesday, May 18th from 1-3pm. Our party will be held outside; the PTA provides the school with inflatables and bounce houses for the kids to enjoy. We will also have other outside activities for them to play with. Please join us if you are able! If you do attend and wish to check your child out, you can do so at the party, we will be packed up and ready to go.
- The Kindergarten Awards ceremony will be Monday, May 23rd at 9:15am in the cafeteria. A short reception will be held in our classroom afterwards. More information to follow.

Numbers
- Addition within the numbers 0-5
- Subtraction within the numbers 0-5
- Ways to make 10 (1+9, 2+8, etc)
- Addition and subtraction word problems
- Identifying coins and counting money to a $1
Science & Social Studies Skills of the Week
Social Studies
- Wants and needs
- Earning money
