Chinese Acrobats are coming to BSE!
On-line School Directory for ALL HSE Schools
The on-line school directory is now available to all families in Skyward. This year the directory is based on an opt-in model. Families must choose to show their contact information in order to be visible in the directory.
To opt-in, click on "My Account" in the upper right corner of your Family Access account. From there, check the boxes for the information you wish to make visible under the School Directory section and then Save. Families can make changes to this section anytime throughout the school year.
If you choose to opt-out of the school directory, please email Dr. Kaminski at dkaminski@hse.k12.in.us
Looking to become more involved at Brooks School?
Back to School Bash needs your help before, during and after the event on Friday, Sept 25th. There are many opportunities for parents to become involved for as little as one hour of time. Back to School Bash is Friday, September 25th!
We have lots of fun in store for everyone at this annual BSE event. Many of our favorites will be back – Inflatables, DJ Mike, Face Painting and Photo Booths!
Exciting new activities include – Henna Tattoos, Sporting Activities with Incrediplex & SPARTA and the Dads Club Tug-O-War!
Be sure to come hungry as concessions are available from Hot Box, Simeri’s, Blue Lagoon Cajun Cooking, Gigi’s and Kona Ice.
Our BSTB Silent Auction will be live on Monday, September 21st!
All bidding will close at 8pm at the BTSB on the 25th with item pick-up at the end of the evening for our winning bidders!
Sample items available: Walt Disney World tickets, Holiday World tickets, Golf at Stony Creek, Front Row Seating and Parking for BSE events including 3rd & 4th Grade music performances, Talent Show and 4th Grade Awards Ceremony.! Not to mention awesome teacher & staff activities and generous grade level baskets! Check back often as items are being added daily!
Be sure to pre-register so that you are ready to bid on Monday morning. Instructions for doing so are attached to this Skylert.
Cafe Volunteers Needed
We are in need of volunteers in the cafe. Come help the student's during their lunch. Our volunteers help the students with whatever they need, such as: opening drinks, yogurt sticks and passing out utensils, napkins, etc.

Calling all Room Parents!
Brooks School Elementary is looking for ROOM PARENTS for the 2015-2016 school year!!! Room parents will help coordinate class baskets at the Back-to-School Bash, help organize the class winter party, work with the PTO Chairs during Teacher Appreciation Week and be a liaison between the parents and the teacher throughout the school year. Being a room parent is a great way to become involved at BSE .
If you are interested in being a room parent please contact Kimberlee Murray at BSE.RoomParent@gmail.com and include the following information:
· Your name
· Your student’s name, teacher and grade
· Whether you would like to be Head Room Parent or a Co-Room Parent
· Your telephone number.
BSE Reading Mentor Program Volunteers Needed!
Implemented more than ten years ago, the BSE Reading Mentor Program has placed volunteers in every classroom from K-3 to work once a week with students who need additional help improving literacy skills. We are in need of more volunteers this school year! Please email christine715@aol.com to add your name to our volunteer list. There will be a training session on Thursday, September 24 from 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. in the BSE library for all volunteers—including those who have been a mentor previously. Volunteers will be placed with students beginning the week of September 28, 2015.
Hamilton Southeastern Schools requires that all volunteers have a current background check on file, and also complete the Anti-Bullying webinar. To do this, please go to the HSE website at hse.k12.in.us. Click on “Parent Resources” on the main page, then proceed to the “PTO and Volunteering” tab, where you will find the links to fill out the forms online and see the video.

S.P.O.R.T.S. Basketball Registration – Boys and girls basketball registrations are still being accepted with a $10 late fee. Registration forms are available at the S.P.O.R.T.S. office, on the S.P.O.R.T.S. website, at all HSE schools, and the Fishers Library. Parents may also register online and can pay with a credit card or can print the form and submit it to the S.P.O.R.T.S. office with a check or cash payment. Credit cards are not accepted in the office.
HSE-Fishers Boys Travel Basketball Tryouts – Boys must attend the evaluation for the high school district where they reside.
HSE Royals Call Back 4th, 5th, & 6th grade – September 24 at HSEJH Fishers Tigers Travel Team Camp/Tryout–FHS Auxiliary Gym 5th grade - September 22, 23 & 24 – 6:00-7:30 p.m. 6th grade – September 22, 23 & 24 – 7:30-9:00 p.m.

Fall call-out meeting for girls lacrosse will be held at the Billericay Sports Office on Thursday, October 8. Youth (grades 3-8) 6:00-7:00pm and High school 7:00-8:00pm
