Service Projects
This semester FCCLA members completed several worthwhile service projects! The chapter goal was to complete one service project per month, and the succeeded!
In August members held a drive for the Florence Lauderdale Animal Shelter in order to have donation items for our visit. In September students visited the shelter and were able to give some attention to sweet animals as well as help the shelter with its day to day operations.
In October, students volunteered at the Forrest Hills Fall Festival! At the festival, FCCLA members helped facilitate games for the elementary students and had a blast.
As their November service project, FCCLA members gathered items to fill stockings for the residents at Green Oaks Retirement Facility. They also visited the residents and decorated their rooms with Christmas items!
Our final service project of the semester is our December book drive for W.C. Handy School.
FCCLA members have truly shown their commitment to connecting with and improving the community we live in!
