UC Davis CSTEM
- Close the achievement gap by broadening the participation of students traditionally underrepresented in computing and STEM-related careers and post-secondary study.
- Develop students’ 21st-century problem-solving skills to tackle real-world concerns through integrated computing and STEM education.
Their vision is to provide formal computer science education for all K-12 students through existing courses in subjects of STEAM with a focus on math and enrichment through informal programs.
This year we are excited to bring Mr. Greg Miller, CSTEM Resource Teacher, to West Orange. During the last few weeks, Mr. Miller has worked with each classroom to relaunch our CSTEM program for the new year. Students are learning how to use Roboblockly and will soon be able to transfer their knowledge to build their robots. Students can access Roboblockly at home as well and eventually will be able to do some of the coding at home.
