The Processes begins with the GP consultant who will go through the screening and referral with the client including inform consent and a PAR Q, the client will then be contacted and a date will be agreed. From there an apporit assessment is conducted before an exercise program is agreed along with what exercises should be done and the time period to achieve this goal. A 12 week program is then made with a review of targets every 3 weeks to see if targets are met. The consultant will then attend a session to see how the client is coping and from there the program continues. Therefore for people in the newcastle area there are a large number of places for them to vist, making them easyly acesable to the mass public. It starts off with the doctor, nurse, or other health professional referring the patients that would benefit from structured exercises. The patient will then receive a referral form, already filled out and signed by the health professional to be presented to the exercise referral consultant at the patients first appointment. The first appointment involes the patient completing an medical questionnaire, PARQ and a brief health assessment and have the chance to raise any questions or concerns that the patient may have about the program.The information collceted will form the base of an exercise programme to be tailored that to meet the patient specific needs. The Program is made for 12 weeks, during the 6th week and 12th week after the initial appointment the patient is reassessed by completing the same health assessment taken during the first appointment. Further goals will be set, once the 12 weeks are completed, the staff that have helped the patient are made available to contact for additional advice should they require it.

The sessions are arranged during the school term times and offers musical warm ups and soft play circuits, its aims is to develop some form os base co-ordination, improve their flexibility, strengthens their bodies, develop sosical skills with other children and its main aim is to promote fun and enjoyment. The advantages of this are that it develops mulpital physical components as well as social skills, however the disadvantages are that the session is only on during the school term and that only curtain schools may have accesses to it.
Aquatic Youth Club @ Outer West Pool
The sessions on a Friday from 6 to 7pm and places are only avaible from booking at the receptions. The sessions involve fun challenges for them to do as well as races for them to compete in, the sessions also include mini-polo games, snorkelling & diving sessions and coaching stroke and stamina development. the aims of this are to have fun!. The advantages of this are that there is a range of different avatvities for the children to try as well as it also developing their cardiovascular system, however on the other hand it is only on once at the end of the week therefore affecting attendance levels.
