For the parents and patrons of the Fulton School District
March 20, 2020
A message from the Superintendent
Dear Parents and Patrons,
Unprecedented times and unprecedented actions! I never imagined school closings for the pandemic challenges that currently exist. Several items which I believe you are aware in summary form:
All classes were dismissed at the end of school, Tuesday, March 17, 2020.
Student attendance is scheduled to return, Monday April 6, 2020.
All buildings are closed to all activities today, March 20, 2020 until Monday, April 6, 2020.
No student activities (band, athletics, clubs etc) are permitted during the closed period.
The Central Administration will be providing information on school attendance prior to Friday, April 3, 2020.
The April 7, 2020 election for School Board and Proposition S has been postponed until June 2, 2020 by Governor Parsons.
All state testing has been suspended for this year, per the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Last Tuesday, students at all levels were provided academic information and an initial plan for continued school work. Faculty have been developing additional resources which have been distributed.
As previously indicated, during the shutdown, all buildings are closed including the Central Office. However, the Central Office phones are being monitored and calls will be returned. District wide email during this period is a preferred method of communication and contact.
All COVID-19 information is located on the COVID-19 tab at www.fulton58.org.
