Put me in Coach!
Pre-Coaching Notification
Now that Personalized Learning and tablets are firmly implanted in our schools, it's time to see how far you've moved through the PLE Navigator. I will visit your classrooms starting this week to observe your growth in carrying out Guilford County's goal of ensuring students are obtaining mastery of your content in a way that best suits their needs.
As an instructional coach, I am here to support your efforts and want to get to know you better as teachers and learners. I am also here to provide feedback and help you achieve your goals. You are welcome to request further assistance with specific tools, strategies, etc., at any time. This is not a formal observation, but more of a true coaching session--an opportunity to see how fantastic you are!
Respond to the survey below to help me know a little more about you individually and specifically. You can fill this out at your earliest convenience since I'll be doing regular walkthroughs over the next couple of months, but the earlier I have a better snapshot, the better. I look forward to continuing to view the dynamic activities occurring in your classrooms.

Upcoming Transforming Education Sessions
- Augmented reality is the placement of graphics or virtual experiences in a real world environment. This is the future of educational technology, and I want you to be on the cutting edge of the experience! Join me in a working session displaying Aurasma, AR with Guinness Book of World Records, Periodic Table of Elements in 4D, ColAR and more!
- This session will be held the week of Feb 9-13.
Ways to Use Quick, Digital Formative Assessments in the Middle School Classroom
- Why do we use formative assessments? To guide instruction. Personalized learning is about knowing where are students are and whether we need to reteach or accelerate. The faster and easier we can do that, the better. Join me for tools that are easy to use and will give you feedback in a flash. This will include familiar things items such as getting the most out of the classroom management tools on the tablet and *new items* such as Plickers, Backchannel Chat, and more!
- This session will be held the week of Feb 16-20.

Schedule change? Tablets sync with PowerSchool. This means that once you see the change reflected in your PS account, the tablet should update the following day. Be sure to restart your tablets daily to see changes.
Visit and bookmark this Amplify Troubleshooting link. The folks in New York update this site frequently and should be your first resort when things go wrong with the tablet.
Are your apps not working smoothly? Ensure they are up to date. Users should open the Amplify Market and click the 'person' icon in the upper right corner. There they'll see all of the apps that need manual updates. Teachers need to update Play Store apps by selecting MY APPS and manually updating. Please ask a PACE team member should you need assistance.
