Rebozo workshop
Use of the Rebozo for Labour and Birth for Doulas
Description
In many cultures around the world, Rebozos have been used by birthing women and their support team to help the mum to feel more comfortable and relax, and to encourage the reposition of babies, ease labour and back pains and conserve mother’s energy.
This 2.5 hour hands on informal workshop will leave you excited to try out the many uses of a Rebozo during your next birth and share what you have learned with your client.
This workshop has been approved for CEU's from CAPPA, DONA and New Beginnings.

About the instructor
Sonya Duffee is a certified CAPPA Doula, Doula Trainer and Advisor for CAPPA Canada's Labour Doula program. She has provided birth services in a variety of birth settings since 1998.
Sonya was first introduced to the Rebozo during her time as a student midwife at Maternidad La Luz in El Paso Texas, where aprox. 95% of the clients coming to birth in the centre travelled over the border from Juarez, Mexico.
Sonya attended a Rebozo workshop with Gena Kirby and has been using the Rebozo for many years with her own clients, she is excited to share this simple, versitile tool with other birth practioners.
