4th Grade Newsletter * Week of March 28th-April 1st

From the Desk of Mrs. Eske:

And the wheels in the bus go round and round... for another week!!! Welcome to Monday!! We are moving right along with some exciting events this week: STEAM Math Night tonight from 4:30-6, a field trip to the Springfield Symphony, Texas Roadhouse Night (Tuesday) featuring Jeffries fourth grade students showing off their finest line dancing skills, and our 3rd Quarter Leadership Assembly!!!


Updated time for Texas Roadhouse Night is 6:00. Students need to be there at 5:45 to get ready to go! Hope to see many students!

Building LEADERS one subject at a time!

Reading: This week we are continuing Reader's Theater, practicing fluency and expression with the plays; Mutant Bugs, Farflings from Farflung, and Porch Swing!!

Math: This week we will start our next math unit!! We will be solving problems involving customary measurement!

Social Studies: We will take a test on the unit, How Missouri Becomes a State!

Writing: Grammar, Grammar, Grammar!!!

A Fun-Filled Week Ahead!

Friday, April 15- Professional Learning Day; No School for Students

Tuesday, April 19- 5th grade students go to the Cardinals Game 9-1:30PM (tentatively)

Friday, April 22- Last Day for library checkout (books can be kept until May 2); Springfield Orchestra Percussion Ensemble Assembly 9:30AM (for interested grade levels, K-5)- in the gym
