A Message for Wildcat Families
As we embark on the third quarter of the 2021-2022 school year, I want to celebrate our Wildcat Students for the academic growth they are exhibiting in our middle of year assessments. Thank you to all our Wildcat Educators for helping our students grow and learn.
As we continue this school year and begin 2022, I encourage everyone to resolve to improve in some way each and every day. Embrace the things that bring you joy, support each other, reach out if you need assistance, and work toward your best self. We are here for you!
Happy New Year!
Covid Booster Clinic
Lovington Schools will hold a COVID-19 Vaccination Booster Clinic for eligible students ages 12-18, on January 5, 2022, from 6:00 - 6:30 PM at Gann Cafeteria. Students must have received their second shot prior to June 5, 2021 to be eligible for this booster. Parents will need to complete the consent form at the clinic and will need to bring their child's vaccination card. If you cannot locate your card, you may log in to vaxviewnm.org to print a new one.
Update: SIGN-UPS ARE CLOSED.
Test to Stay
Beginning January 17, 2022, Test-to-Stay protocols will be in place at all New Mexico schools. This protocol will allow for students and staff who are considered to be close contacts to a COVID-positive individual, due to exposure at school, to be tested on days 1, 3, and 5 following the exposure, by school nurses. If negative, the students will be allowed to remain at school, in lieu of previous quarantine requirements. Parental consent will be required for this option and families may choose quarantine over the new test-to-stay protocol.
We are fortunate that all Lovington School Nurses are now certified to provide these Covid-19 tests.

6 Reasons to Make Mindfulness Your Resolution
According to Headspace.com's Dr. Jenn Bennett,
New Year’s resolutions aren’t like ordinary goals. They have a far more powerful effect on our psyche because the end of one year and the start of another symbolize new beginnings, a new chapter, and another chance to achieve the things we’ve always dreamt of. (Or perhaps do away with a few unhelpful habits we’ve developed.) So why should mindfulness be the first resolution on your list? Click the link below to read on.
