A Message from our Principal...
WOW!!! What an AMAZING start to the school year!!!! Even only after two days, our Bears are back into the swing of things!! Way to LEVEL UP, Bears!! We are proud of you!!
Thank you so much for your patience as we work through our final weeks of construction. I just keep thinking about how beautiful it will be at completion! I'm so excited!!
An extra THANK YOU for your patience during dismissal. With the construction, we have limited space to get all students out on time. Our main priority is safety of the students. Please know we are getting them out to you as quickly as possible while still maintaining a safe dismissal environment.
Wishing you the BESt weekend!!!
Next week happenings:
I would like to personally invite you to our very first Bear Boogie of the 2018-19 school year!! Friday, August 24th @ 7:30 a.m.
What is Bear Boogie? Bear Boogie is our school-wide celebration/pep rally. We have them twice a month on a Friday morning at 7:30 a.m. in our cafeteria. We will always remind you about these celebrations and you are always invited to join in on the fun!! Dancing is encouraged!! See you there!!!!
Just a few things to know :
--Learning begins each day at 7:30 a.m. If you child will be eating breakfast in the cafeteria, please have here in plenty of time to each and get to class on time.We don't want our Bears missing anything!
--Kindergarten will continue to meet in the cafeteria each morning until further notice.
--Starting MONDAY, all 1st -4th graders will report to the gym; Teachers will come to the gym each morning to pick up their class.
--Starting MONDAY, parents are encouraged to drop off their Bear in the car drop off or at the cafeteria doors. We will have staff out to help open and close doors as they welcome students each morning.
--Parents who choose to eat breakfast with their child -OR- walk them to the gym, will need to check in with the office for a VISITOR STICKER. Safety first here at BES!!!
**IMPORTANT** Parking (Morning and Afternoon):
Great job with drop off and parking. Thank you for your patience while we continue to work on the front entry. I do have a favor to ask on behalf of some of the businesses around us: please do not park in their parking lots. Their customers and employees need to be able to get in and they have asked us to please remind you not to park in their property. This includes before and after school. Thanks!!
Birmingham Basics:
Listed below you will find a few Birmingham Basics such as: when does learning begin/end and what time does my child eat lunch? Please let us know if you have questions or suggestions for more Birmingham Basics. You can email Mrs. Doolan at Tiffany.Doolan @wylieisd.net to ask questions or request more Birmingham Basics.
Of course, your child's teacher is a GREAT resource, as well!
