SHISD Mid-Week Message

Weekly Superintendent's Message for Spring Hill ISD

Thankful and Grateful

Panther Nation,

There is so much to be thankful and grateful for in this community. The one thing professionally that I am most thankful for is the staff and board members of SHISD. I had a conversation with the leadership team and in discussing the various business items we began a discussion about the educational climate in Spring Hill. The comments mentioned included how positive and optimistic board meetings were in this district compared to other districts and how when one of our family members is suffering, their fellow staff members rally around them to provide support and encouragement.

An attribute of a great school district includes a culture where the employees are happy to come to work because they know they are cared for, have an important role, and will be missed if they are gone. Spring Hill has that culture and you can see it every day. I am thankful and grateful to have the opportunity to work with such a great group of educators and support staff.

It has been a tremendous fall semester so far in Spring Hill. You all have worked hard and deserve this break. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! - Steve Snell, Superintendent

P.S. Please keep Kyle Linthicum in your thoughts and prayers. He had a successful surgery on his broken ankle Wednesday. He and "nurse Kristi" are at home recovering.
