Principal's Message
A special hello to all of our families! Welcome to May and all that spring brings. The good weather and the chance to get outside more will hopefully take the edge off some of the fatigue we have all been experiencing over these many months. Regardless of the in person/online movements over the year we are still looking ahead to the end of this school year and the start to next year. Usually we are jam packed with activities including our Outdoor Education trips, Rugby, Track and Field, Gr. 9 Day Out, Grade 9 Farewell, and A.P.P.L.E. Day. This year we will again let all of these activities rest with the intention to make them happen again next year!
Thank you to all of you, parents, students, supporters and our community for uniting to find ways to keep life happening. I would especially like to thank our teachers and EAs working so hard to take care of all of us. Together we really are a great team! As we move into May and June, I would like to remind you about the changes to this year’s reporting weighting and assessment strategies aimed to highlight student learning and success. If students (or you) have any additional questions teachers can be reached by email. We are also excited about a few changes being made for next year. We are looking at possible new Option classes to provide students with different portals of learning. Stay tuned for what is to come in the new year!
I have great confidence that our students will finish off the year feeling proud of their experiences and accomplishments, I know we are.
