Principal's Den
I hope you are all healthy and doing well. This is our last week of the 2021-22 school year. Wow! What a unique and special year it has been. We have lots of fun and special activities planned starting on Monday with our 1st/2nd grade Field Day and trimester award ceremonies for 3rd and 2nd grades. On Tuesday, First Grade will have their Trimester Awards Ceremony and Wednesday will be our Kindergarten Field Day. Our 4th grade has a Color Run event planned, 3rd grade has an ice-cream party, and then we'll have our promotion ceremonies to close out the week.
We have our Kindergarten Promotion scheduled from 1:30-2pm on June 9th and our 5th grade promotion from 8:30-10am on June 10th. For both of these ceremonies each students will be able to invite 2 guests plus any children 4 and under. We will also be livestreaming the ceremonies for any family and friends that would like to watch the events live.
I want to thank you all for your support and encouragement during this school year. You'll often hear me talk about the wonderful staff at Cloverdale Elementary, but I want to especially thank and recognize all of our families and school community. Together we build and provide a positive and caring learning environment for all of our Cloverdale Lions.
We are planning to host the Superintendent's Summer Learning Academy at our school. I have shared information through our Parent Square. If you have any questions please contact our school.
Thank you,
As a reminder, please continue to keep your hands to yourself and not play any contact games with other students. Please continue to follow all safety recommendations concerning Covid. If you are sick, experiencing any covid symptoms, or have been exposed to someone at home that has tested positive, it is very important that you remain home until you are feeling better. If you experience any covid-like symptoms please stay home and let us know. If you have any questions, please contact our school office for assistance.
Let's make this our best year and as always, let's strive to be LEADERS BY EXAMPLE!
Thank you,
At Cloverdale we strive to be Leaders by Example. As I mention to our students during announcements, this means that we always try to do the right thing even when no one is looking.
As part of our school's Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS), we also learn to ROAR. This is a matrix that exemplifies our core values of being Respectful, Organized, Accountable, and Responsible.
Our goal is to be college ready once we graduate from High School and that starts today!
Sincerely,
Genaro García
Principal
