Transition to In-Person Learning
Dear Elrod Families,
Thank you for your support and patience as we continue with virtual learning. As many of you may be anticipating your child's return to campus, NISD has an updated infographic for who will transition back to In-Person learning if that was your selection in the instructional program survey you completed. This infographic can be found below.
On September 8th, Elrod will welcome back students who fall under the Group 1 category and whose families selected in-person learning in their survey selection. Those students and their families have already been contacted about their return.
In last week's newsletter, you received a link with an explanation as to how we will transition back to In-Person learning. This is detailed in our Public Health Transition Plan.
We are committed to balancing the need to have students back in our buildings with the need to keep students and staff safe. There is no anticipated timeline or schedule for when the next groups will be allowed to return to in-person instruction as it is dependent on health conditions. We will be notifying families when their child is due to return to In-Person learning. As a general guide, families will have about two weeks notice prior to returning. These plans are for those families who chose In-Person learning. Any family who chose virtual learning will remain in that mode at least through the first grading period.
While we would love to be able to have our students back on campus, their safety and that of our staff is our greatest concern. By taking a very methodical and tiered approach, our hope is to be able to keep our Elrod Eagles healthy so that we can keep our campus open for the long run.
Thank you,
Mrs. Flores
Principal
