Conditional Formatting of Google Sheets
Red Light/Green Light is a Google Sheets activity in which students answer questions within specified cells and based on their answer the cell turns green when correct or red when incorrect. This allows students to have immediate feedback and the file can be saved to their Google drive for additional practice later. CLICK HERE to access a template of Red Light/Green Light and HERE for specific directions on how to conditionally format a Google Sheet.
Examples: integers and analogies (paired with a “Kick Me” activity)
Conditional Branching in Google Forms
Branching starts by asking a question in Google Forms. Based on their response, they are then directed to another question, article, or task. This process allows you to immediately respond to students’ needs without having to collect and grade each piece of work. It also allows for students to demonstrate mastery, work on trouble areas, or further extend their knowledge and thinking around a topic. The following videos walk you through how to create multiple branches of your form based on what your users are choosing as answers. You can use this to create "choose your own adventure" stories and more.
