Global Project Highlight - Get Involved!
The Global Goals
Part of the hope of the ISTE Global PLN is to bring awareness to the Sustainable Development Goals. One way educators can become involved and learn more about the SDGs and how they can introduce them to their students is to join the World’s Largest Lesson. The World’s Largest Lesson introduces the SDGs to children and young people everywhere and unites them in action. Microsoft also offers a free online course, Teaching Sustainable Development Goals.
Opportunity for Global Collaboration - EveryWorld Initiative
An opportunity for classrooms around the world to connect with each other using Know My World’s unique philosophy of digital exchanges. Teachers selected for this opportunity will work with a Know My World facilitator and a teacher from another part of the world. As a team, they will create an educational experience in which students from two different countries have the opportunity to engage in a fun and informative project. At the end of this experience, teachers will receive a professional development certificate of completion, and the tools to continually manage their own digital exchanges in the future. Applications due: Friday September 21st!
Global Collaboration Week!
The Global Education Conference is hosting Global Collaboration Week. Sept 17-24th.
During Global Collaboration Week, experienced global educators and other professionals will host connective projects and events and invite public participation. The primary goals of this week-long event are to demonstrate the power of global connectivity in classrooms, schools, institutions of informal learning and universities around the world, and to introduce others to the tools, resources, projects, and networks that are available to educators today.
