Letter from the Administration Team

Welcome to the 2022-23 school year!


We are thrilled to welcome students back to the building next week! We have the wonderful opportunity to start this year with a whole new administrative team. Our focus for the beginning of this year will be all about building relationships. You can expect the administration team to be highly visible and engaged with the students and their learning to a high degree. We will work hard to ensure each student is valued and feels like Winograd is a place where they belong! Please reach out to our team if you ever have any needs... we are here to serve!


We will plan to send out these newsletters on a monthly basis. We will also have Social Media that you will be able to follow to see more frequent updates and photos of learning happening in the building.

Our hours have shifted slightly this year in order to increase bus transportation across the district. We will continue with late start Mondays throughout the year.

Back To School Night!

We will be hosting a Back to School Open House at Winograd from 5:00-6:30pm on Tuesday, August 9. This is a great to chance to meet your teacher, see your classroom, and drop off school supplies!

Nutrition Services (IMPORTANT INFORMATION!)

Due to federal waivers ending, school meals are NOT free for the 22-23 School Year unless approved School Meal Benefits.


Prices for School Meals:

Breakfast $2.00

Lunch: $3.75


The Meal Benefits Application is available and strongly encouraged for ALL families to apply as it is also used to determine certain school funding. This application is available online: CLICK HERE to access it.


You may sign up for a Student Meal Account that allows you to pay for school lunches easily. CLICK HERE to sign up for a School Meal Account.

Please visit our Webpage for this year's school supply lists! Feel free to drop these off on Back to School Night on August 9.

Annual Student Data Update/ Parent Portal Access

In order to have your most current information available, we ask that all families fill out the Annual Student Data Update each year. Please use the Parent Portal Login and then click "More" and then "Online Registration". You will then make any necessary changes so that our system is up to date!

If you do not have a Parent Portal Login yet, please contact our office at 970-348-2600 or fill out the this Google form to receive account access. You will be able to access information such as Attendance and Grades through the Parent Portal.

Athletics Information for Middle School Students

Winograd’s fall athletic season practices will begin the week of August 15th! This will include volleyball, swim, and cross country. Please visit Winograd’s athletic website at https://www.greeleyschools.org/domain/8191 for updated information on practices, game schedules and locations.


If you still need to register for fall sports, you may do so at the following link: ONLINE ATHLETICS INFORMATION


Please remember that physicals need to be updated yearly in order to participate in sports. You may submit the physical online when you register for a fall activity.

Parent/ Student Handbooks

We have our Parent and Student Handbooks available digitally this year. These handbooks give a lot of information you need to be familiar with the district and school. There are important policies for families and students to review, as well as school-specific information.
