Mark Your Calendar!

MISD schools will be closed in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday from Monday, November 20th through Friday, November 24th.

STAAR EOC Tutorials & Test Dates

Tutorials are underway for students that will be taking the STAAR End of Course (EOC) exams in December. Please make sure your student is attending school each day. The STAAR EOC test schedule is as follows:

Tuesday, December 5th: English I

Wednesday, December 6th: Algebra I

Thursday, December 7th: US History plus student make up exams for English I & Algebra I

Friday, December 8th: Biology plus student make up exams for English I, Algebra I & US History

Tuesday, December 12th: English II and student make up exams for all subjects

Army National Guard to Visit ALPHA

A representative from the Army National Guard will be on campus at 9am on Tuesday, November 14th. All juniors and seniors will attend the presentation. Please make sure your student is here to learn more about available opportunities with the Army National Guard.

Performance Expectations

This year students are expected to complete a course every two weeks. Every week we will look at each student to ensure they have completed a course in the prior two weeks. The next progress check will be Thursday, November 16th. If your student is not meeting this expectation, they will be placed in our Level 3 room, where phones are not allowed, instead of going to the Commons. Students will continue to go to their teacher classroom for instruction. Please visit with your student to ensure they are on track and also look at the date "last course complete" on the Passport to Graduation to monitor course completion progress. Passports are emailed to students each Monday and to parents on the second and fourth Monday of each month.

Food Deliveries

Just a friendly reminder! Outside delivery services are not allowed to deliver food to students here at ALPHA. Parents or individuals listed in a student's TEAMS profile may bring food for their student ONLY, no friends, etc.

Has your student been absent?

ALPHA has a designated email address to email parent and doctor notes when your student needs to be out. All notes can be sent to: ALPattendance@magnoliaisd.org
