Microsoft tools and approaches to improve eLearning in your school.

Many schools are looking to go one to one but uncertain which device to purchase.
The day will focus on a set of Microsoft tools and approaches to improve eLearning in your school.
In this workshop Kevin showcases Microsoft’s School based Solutions, and will pass on his experiences with using Windows 8 enabled tablets and apps.
Topics will include
· Using Windows 8
· Using eContainers such as OneNote to capture students’ digital content
· Office 365 and SkyDrive including using SharePoint and Lync
· Strategies to embed eLearning in curriculum and pedagogy
· Great web Apps and websites to engage students in tomorrow’s learning.
· Using video as learning and assessment to help flip the classroom
· Strategies to future proof your school’s eLearning investment

Kevin Daly
Kevin currently works part time as solutions manage for Edsoft. On his other available days he does presentations and consults to schools and leadership groups about enhancing learning through technology.
Kevin was with The Department of Education for over thirty years in many leadership positions including Assistant Principal. He has taught in both primary and secondary settings and was most recently an Ultranet coach with the Department.
He has a passion for how eLearning can improve students’ learning outcomes and creativity. This is what led him to his current positions, through a journey which involved presenting at conferences and writing for journals across Australia.
Kevin has completed many courses and has several tertiary qualifications including Program Evaluation, he is also a qualified ICT teacher to year 12.
Most recently Kevin has become involved in workshops focused on improving literacy and numeracy though eLearning, these have been supported by the National Partnership program.
He also runs workshops on mobile and one to one computing focusing their implementation into schools and their impact on curriculum design and pedagogy.
