Staff Pledge:
"We recognize that the fundamental purpose of our school and the reason we come to work each day is to ensure all students learn at high levels. We Understand that helping all students learn requires a collective, collaborative effort rather than a series of isolated efforts. We will work in teams to inform and improve individual and collective practices and to better meet the needs of individual students through intervention and extension."

District Survey
The district is requiring that all students in grades 3-12, certified staff including Instructional Specialists, and families (voluntary) participate in the Climate and Culture survey program from the IDOE. The survey window opens tomorrow and runs through Friday, March 15th. The links are below. It is a district expectation that all 3rd and 4th grade students, certified staff, and instructional specialist complete the survey during the window. In order for me to monitor completion within the window please email me and let me know when you have completed the survey. Additionally, third and fourth grade teachers should let me know when students have completed surveys. Thank you in advance.

IDOE Breakfast and Lunch Audit
We are just around the corner from the IDOE audit. The auditor (Gretchen) will be here on Tuesday, February 26th to observe breakfast and lunch. Haley will be with Gretchen as she goes around to classrooms. Be prepared to allow Gretchen to watch the breakfast process in your classrooms. According to Bob and Haley, everything has been looking better since the cafe' started bagging the breakfast. They have just a couple reminders for all teachers:
- if a student wants breakfast, they must take a bag. milk is optional
- teachers must mark students off as they take a bagged breakfast
- any items students take but do not eat stays with the student or gets thrown away
Thank you for your continued efforts in making this a successful audit for Eastridge and Warren Township Schools. I greatly appreciate all of your hard work and cooperation.

Field Trips
Health Passes:
Cafe'
Health passes have been placed on top of the AED machine in the cafe with pens. Please fill them out for injuries/illness during lunch prior to sending the student to the nurses office.
Recess
Take health passes to fill out for injury or illness. Also radio the front office if sending a student in to see the nurse. Too many students are coming to the nurse's office with no passes. Students will be sent back to class if they do not have a pass.
Filling out the pass
Include the student's first and last name and nature of the injury -- brief description (hit head on _____, fell on cement/mulch/playground equipment).

We received another shout-out from DR. Hanson on Twitter for being one of the top five schools in the district with prefect attendance (week 3).
All students are required to fill out their individual attendance log this month. Attendance logs have been placed in your mailbox. This week classrooms with 96% attendance will receive a bag of popcorn, which will be delivered on Friday (only students with perfect attendance). Any classroom with 100% attendance and 0 referrals for the week will receive an extra 30 minute prep. Push your class to meet this goal! BELIEVE and we will ACHIEVE
Mrs. Fitzgerald posts her daily attendance percentages on the board for students to see. Students were excited to brag on their attendance while visiting.

Our PLC Journey...
We will achieve this outcome by learning together about the best practices proven to increase student learning, applying what we have learned, and using evidence of student learning to make decisions and revisions in practice to help even more students learn at higher levels.
Four Critical Questions
- What do we want our students to know and be able to do?
- How will we know when they have learned it?
- What will we do when they haven't learned it?
- What will we do to extend the learning when they already know it?
When we meet in our collaborative teams, we will focus on these four critical questions.
