Fishing with a Cop
Students then get to try their hand at fishing along side a Huntington Beach Police Officer. The night prior to the event, the lake at Carr Park is stocked with 500 pounds of catfish. This year, we did not get many bites but the students sure had fun!

Opening up our World! With all our new technology, students are now able to access information all over the world! On Tuesday, students in Miss Mazzera and Miss Edison's classes Skype'd a radiologist in Louisiana. She talked to them about how radiation can be used to diagnose disease and that scientists use bananas for research. Who knew that bananas were radioactive? | Intramural Champs Congratulations to the 1st place football intramural team! 1st Ever Haunted Basement Tour Have you ever wanted to visit the basement at Dwyer? Have you heard of the legends and stories? Join us on October 30th for the 1st ever Haunted Basement Fundraiser. Tickets are on sale Thursdays at lunch or at the door (limited quantities may be available). | Having a Birthday? Birthdays are important here at Dwyer! There will be an upcoming meeting for any parents with students in grades 1-7 who are interested in the HBCSD GATE program. The meeting will be held here at Dwyer.
HBUHSD hosts Parent University nights throughout the year. The next evening is dedicated to vaping prevention. These meetings are held at various high school locations and are very informative.
