3 Items Eric would bring on a trip
A Camera
Eric I think would bring a camera to capture the emotion and soak in the life of the people he saw. For example in Zaire when Eric went he saw a group of women that had been through the unthinkable and where still smiling. This proved that even know people are different than us everyone can push through anything. Eric could later show other people about his trip also. " When I raised my camera, I looked through the viewfinder and saw a whole group of women smiling back at me." pg.94
A Voice Recorder
I think Eric would bring a voice reorder because the story people tell are so truthful and sometimes a whole different story than you hear in the news. In the book Eric would sit for hours on hours just listening to peoples stories and life journey. For people who had such a tragic life this really made them feel good just to let all of there feelings out. ".....the old men were repeating themselves- would translate the conversation for me in dollops." pg.67
A Bible
I think Eric would bring a bible because in the book after he gets back from one of his many mission trips he speaks at a friends church. Also Eric is an a example of a very giving and thoughtful person and God wants everyone to be the best person they can and Eric is a pure example of the best person he can be by risking his life joining the Navy Seal and giving to the communities of less fortunate country's."When I returned to Duke at the end of the summer, a friend invited me to speak at a local church. “We want to know what’s happening in Bosnia,” she told me. That seemed like much too enormous a topic for me to do justice to, but I agreed to go." pg.78
