Childhood
Oprah Winfrey was born on January 29, 1954.She lived on a isolated farm in Kosciusko, Mississippi. When she was born she was left in the care of her grandmother.
Family Life
When Oprah was six years old she was sent to a ghetto where her mother and two step-brother were in Milwaukee. Then when she was twelve she was sent to live with her father in Nashville, Tennessee. Her mother got her sent back because she was sexual abused. After years of bad behavior she was sent back to live with her father by her mother.
Accomplishments
Oprah was an actress, talk show host, and a producer. She also has her own show the Oprah Winfrey Show. She has books and a school for women in South Africa that educates girls and women on leadership skills.
