Workbook Pick-Up at Wickham on Tuesday, May 5th between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM
How this will work!
1. Enter the Wickham parking lot following our typical car line path. Do NOT park.
2. Stay in your car.
3. Hold up a visible sign that includes your child's name and grade or children's names/grades.
4. A staff member will bring the workbook/s to your car.
Students do not need to be present during pick-up. You can pick up workbooks for another Wickham family that is not able to make it on Tuesday, May 5th - just make certain to include their name/grade on your visible sign.

Message from Mrs. Wattiez
Hello Wickham families,
I wanted to reach out to you this week to let you know of a few more resources and activities that you can access. These resources and activities can be used from Kindergarten through sixth grade.
With nice weather arriving many children are able to go outside and enjoy nature. There is a great activity you can practice outside with your children that is called Grounding. Grounding allows you to be present in the moment and is a fun activity for kids and adults.
To practice this Grounding exercise use your 5 senses and name:
5 things you see
4 things you hear
3 things you smell
2 things you can touch
1 thing you taste
There is also a great online program called Go Noodle that many students have already used in their classrooms. Go Noodle provides access to brain break videos and activities for kids. They also have great videos that help children practice mindfulness activities and calming down. You can create a free account for your family.
In addition, I wanted to remind you that I continue to be available to provide support. I am available by email at wattiez.mallory@iowacityschools.org. I also use the app TalkingPoints which can translate messages between us and go directly to your phone via SMS. If you would like to talk with me using TalkingPoints, you can download the parent app and use the code RPTEQK to join my class “Mrs. W- Counseling.”
