What Did We Learn This Week?

Language Arts

This week we learned about present tense verbs in grammar. Also, we began writing our rough drafts about our present life in 2nd grade! The story we read this week is calledWhat Kind of Babysitter is This?. We had fun creating a Wanted poster for a certain type of babysitter!

In math, we practiced converting time. Then, we moved on to reviewing how to read a calendar.

Dear 2nd grade parents,

The 2nd graders are working diligently on completing the work for the lettersץ ,צ (TZADEE and final TZADEE).

They are using verbs in sentences and mastering reading fluency.

Here are some verbs to review:

מְצַיְרִים- drawing (metzayreem)

מְצַלְּמִים- photographing (metzalmeem)

צוֹחֲקִים- laughing (tzochakeem)

רָצים- run (rahtzeem)

Shabbat shalom,

Galia Sabbag

We had fun reviewing this week all of our simple machines. We completed a couple study guides and a review sheet that are in our Science folder. We will do a lot of review in class too next week. We used this amazing website to help us review. It is so much fun to interact with!
