November at NCA
Welcome to November!
2 Corinthians 9:11-12 ~ "You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God."
Colossians 3: 15-17 ~ "And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 ~ "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."
Philippians 4:4-9 ~ "Rejoice in the Lord always; again, I will say, rejoice. Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me - practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you."
NCA Elementary students shared a little bit about what they are thankful for:
NCA Calendar
We work diligently to set as much of the calendar as we can prior to the start of the school year, however, there are times that adjustments must be made for a multitude of reasons. We do our best to communicate these changes with you in a timely manner in multiple ways including the weekly reminder emails, the monthly newsletters, and through the RenWeb calendar.
If you have a printed version of the Parent Calendar that was distributed to families prior to the start of the school year, it is out of date and a revised version is available in the Resource Documents section of the RenWeb Family Portal; however, we encourage you to continue to continue to check the Calendar in RenWeb as that will always be updated as soon as we have new information.
Lunchroom Volunteering
Lunchroom volunteers are so appreciated! Remember to log in your service hours in your Family Portal. Please sign up for November and/or December dates at these links.

Cold Weather Attire
As the weather is changing, please ensure your student is sent to school with cold weather attire that is dress code approved. As a reminder, all sweaters, fleeces, sweatshirts, etc. must be black, grey, or maroon and must have the NCA crest to be worn during the school day. Varsity letterman sweaters/jackets purchased through the approved vendor may also be worn. This is clearly laid out on pages 23-24 of the NCA Student Handbook and the Uniform Summary document which are both available in the Resource Documents section of the Family Portal of RenWeb.
Elementary students will receive a bag with their name on it that will remain at school to hold their recess cold weather gear. All elementary students must have snow pants, boots, gloves, and hats that will remain at school and teachers will send the items home as needed (minimum of weekly) to be washed.
Other Important Reminders
Students are only permitted to have water to drink in classrooms or hallways, as stated in page 27 of the NCA Student Handbook. Any other drinks must be kept for lunchtime and only opened while in the lunchroom.
Please make sure that you are sending all medications and supplements through the office for distribution to students along with a medication form. Please do not send these in backpacks or lunchboxes.
Parents must make appointments with teachers if they need to speak with them. After school, all teachers have dismissal duties and are not able to use that time to conference with parents.
Parents in Prayer
Parents in Prayer meets every Monday at 8:00 am in the Grow Track room.
Make a difference in your child's life and in NCA by joining other parents to pray for our children and school. You can make a difference by interceding for them, by praying God's word and by joining other parents to transform the students' lives and the school through Christ. NCA parents can earn family service hours when attending Parents in Prayer. All parents, grandparents and relatives of students of all denominations are welcome to join us. Prayer is powerful. Your child and your school need your prayers. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Philippians 4:6
