Weekly Newsletter
Mrs. Darnell
Dear Parent,
Happy Spring! This time of year is always so busy. In the coming months, we have many end of the year activities planned. We will send out a list of dates ASAP.
Spelling
Our spelling comes from List 16; please keep in mind that we will have a 4 day week: far, much, play, gave, upon, after, handy, spell, says, and should.
1. Six friends came to my slumber party.
2. We stayed up until three.
Lucky Rainbow?
Math
In math, we will work on Fact Families, a fact family is made up of three numbers. Just as in any family the members, or numbers, are related and there are always at least four math facts to be made with them. Take, for example, these members of a fact family: 6, 4, and 10… 6+4=10, 4+6=10, 10-6+4, and 10-4=6
Social Studies
In social studies, we will learn about Texas landforms and regions and continue discussing interesting facts, symbols, and places of interest. The students are having so much fun using the “COWS” , computers on wheels to research about Texas. It has amazed me how much they have learned.

Practice makes Perfect!
Though we realize that after school activities consume your time during the week, please continue practicing spelling and reading with your child each night. Please listen to your child read their AR book each week. They should be taking at least one test a week! Also, please make sure your child is completing their daily homework. Thank you for your help.
