SCHOOL ACCOUNTS
Looking forward to 2019 – PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING
We are trialling a new way of strengthening our home-school partnership. We aim to start this off with a “Learning Transition Partnership Day” which will be Tuesday 29th January.
On this day we will be having 15 minute slots with each student and family in their homeroom class:
· This time slot is about informing the 2019 teacher of anything they will need to know about your child, socially, wellbeing, learning difficulties, or special talents and skills they may have
· We will learn about your child’s and family’s strengths and ideas you may have to contribute to learning opportunities at school.
· Our teachers will be focussed on each family, listening and planning for a successful 2019.
We encourage all families to attend, even if you or your child knows their 2019 teacher. We believe this is a fantastic opportunity to have a positive transition into our new school year. This process has been used in other schools successfully and feedback from parents and staff of these schools is very positive.
In next weeks newsletter you will be given the link to book the interviews.
Classes start on Wednesday 30th January.
END OF YEAR FINAL ASSEMBLY
This will take place on Tuesday 18 December, at 11.00 in our school hall. The whole school will attend the assembly, to celebrate the achievements of our students across the year, and to farewell our Year 8 Leavers. Parents are invited to attend this assembly. School finishes for our Year 8’s after assembly. The rest of the school finishes at 1.00.
